WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Library is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1106 Third Ave., Worthington. The library is closed Saturdays and Sundays. The Children’s Library, 206 11th St., Worthington, is open noon to 5:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday; 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; and 9 a.m. to noon Friday. It is closed Saturday and Sunday.
The Adrian Branch Library, 214 Maine Ave., Adrian, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (Labor Day to Memorial Day). The library is closed Wednesdays.
Please note: The Nobles County Libraries (Adrian and Worthington) are not accepting donations of items until further notice. Please do not leave donations outside of the building or put them in the book drops.
Books for adults: “The Food Forward Garden: a complete guide to designing and growing edible landscapes” by Christian Douglas, “AI Snake Oil: What artificial intelligence can do, what it can’t, and how to tell the difference” by Arvind Narayanan and Sayash Kapoor, and “The Ephemera Collector: A novel” by Stacy Nathaniel Jackson.
Books for children: “Karen’s Prize”, a Babysitters Little Sister graphic novel by Shauna J. Grant, “Over in the Garden” by Janna Matthies, and “The Salt Princess” retold by Anoosha Syed.
DVDs: “Companion” directed by Drew Hancock, “Across the River and Into the Trees” starring Live Schreiber, and “Robot Dreams” an animated production by Pablo Berger.

Entrance: 1106 Third Ave. Please use the entrance on the south side of the Southwestern Minnesota Opportunity Council building, the door closest to 11th Street.
Friends of the Library Book Club: 6 p.m. Monday, April 28, Elks Lodge, 1105 Second Ave., Worthington. We will be discussing the book, “The Sewing Girl’s Tale” by John Wood Sweet.
Portable DVD player: The Nobles County Library has purchased a portable DVD player that patrons can check out. This player can be connected to your TV to watch DVDs of movies or TV series on your big screen. Or, take this along in your car and keep your kids entertained on a long road trip.
After School Programs: Stop by or call the children’s department at (507) 295-5346 to sign up your children. Children are responsible for their own ride to and from the library.

Tuesday: Kids Club (grades K-5), 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Thursday: Kids Club (grades K-5), 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Story Time: 10 to 10:45 a.m. each Tuesday, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. the last Saturday of each month.
65th Area Art Show: Open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. weekdays through May 28, at the Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center, 714 13th St., Worthington.
Art Club: 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 28, Ecumen Meadows, 1801 Collegeway, Worthington. Meet in the activity room, located on the second floor in the south building. The theme for this month is ‘Cats’. There is no cost and all are welcome.
